A Pilot Study: The Experience of Work-Family Balance Amongst Francophone Parents in the Ottawa Region

There is a dearth of research regarding families’ needs in the context of work-life balance in Ontario and in the rest of Canada. This pilot study aims to document the experience of parents and to identify facilitators and barriers to work-life balance in a group of Franco-Ontarian parents. In order to conduct this study, an online questionnaire will be developed for FluidSurveys. The development of this questionnaire on the experience of work-life balance will require a literature review, and a consultation session with a group representing parents, clinicians, daycare employers and employees, and local and provincial politicians. This study will serve as a pillar for the development of a provincial inquiry on the subject.
